"We regretfully wish to inform everyone that FLESHGRIND has officially called it quits. For some that's good news, for others it's gonna suck. The reasoning behind this decision was not an easy one after 13 years but we feel this is the best time to move on. Before our last show about a month ago vocalist Rich Lispcomb formally stepped down from the position. Instead of contemplating replacing Rich with another vocalist, the remaining three members: Steve Murray, James Genenz, and Jesse Kehoe; have decided to move on in a new project. It just wouldn't be right calling ourselves FLESHGRIND if Rich isn't involved. Rich has decided he needs a life change. His heart just wasn't into it anymore, business wise and artistically, so he is moving on. He sold his business, United Guttural Records, and will be moving to Michigan to get on with his life. The three of us have no hard feelings towards Rich and his decision, and respect him even more for coming out about how he felt, and we are excited about the uninhibited possibilites for our new project. We are currently undergoing a group soul search to determine our direction in our future endeavors, and will be looking for a singer and possibly a second guitarist to fill out the group, although that search has yet to get underway. For now we just wish to respectfully put FLESHGRIND to rest. We wish to thank every single person that has ever supported us in any way. You all know who you are.
The MySpace page at www.myspace.com/fleshgrind will stay active for some time to come. News and information on our future efforts will be available here until everything is set in stone. We will be looking for members in the coming weeks. Again, we thank everyone for their support!"

Ha ha ha ha ha! Somewhere a TV exec may be giddy with the idea of Clay Aiken singing "Hogtied & Hatefucked".

What the hell is with grindcore bands putting "grind" or "grinder" in their names anyway? Like how ska bands tend to put ska in their names? It's pretty lame.

I wasn't proving anything, I was just getting at that the only 2 bands I've ever heard of with grind or whatever in the title are Fleshgrind and Fleshgrinder. And once again I make one little comment and you all have to over fucking analyze the whole thing. I'm getting pretty fucking sick of this forum.

I'm pretty sick of you posting here, actually. Why didn't you just fucking ask what other bands he had in mind?

Magrudergrind, Shit Grinder, Grinded Nig(hahaha)...those are a few more I can think of.
It seems to be more recent than anything.
Also, just remembered Rumplestiltskin Grinder.

I don't think it had anything to do with a sense of humor...I think that band was writing actual racist songs.
I've never heard the band or anything, I just saw it in someone's Soulseek folder. There were definetely a few "kill all blacks" type song titles that I could remember. Lame.

Oh yeah and Hell Bent......eat a dick. Why? Because I won't pretend you're some elitist name dropping metal god when you're nothing but a Grief obsessed psudo-underground poser? Okay, chief.

You know what I don't give a fucking shit what you think, music is my fucking life, my passion and my art. And aside from skateboarding it's one of the few things worth waking up in the morning for. If any of you had half a min. to hangout with me, you'd definetly see that. So fuck you I'm no poser I'm 25 years old and have listened to metal since I was like 7 years old because my brother was into it, I didn't "name drop" as you like to call it to be cool or show that I know some bands, anybody could do that for fuck's sake. Fuck it you're not worth wasting anymore energy typing.

It's pretty obvious that there are more grind bands without the word "grind" in their name than there are with it. You seemed to be under the impression that I didn't know that and were trying to show off.

If you're such a big fan of metal, then let's talk about metal! Name a band and give me your opinion about it. I don't give a fuck if you've been listening to metal for 20 minites or 20 years. Name dropping and listing creds are things appreciated at boards like Relapse or Metal Maniacs. If you want to pick fights and talk about how metal you are, go there where you're fucking appreciated. If you want to talk about metal...just name a band.
Here, I'll even start you off since you're such a big Grief fan: Noothgrush. What do you think?

I've only heard a handful of their stuff, but I have liked evrything that I did hear. I don't really meet to many people who like sludge, they always have the same response, "anybody can play real slow like that". That may be true but it takes some talent to make it absolutely crushing, case and point and straight frome the woods of Maine-----> www.oceanofdoom.com/

Playing slow is hard...making it interesting is much MUCH harder.

I dig Ocean. Reminds me of Buried At Sea, who I also like quite a bit. Both bands definitely in the upper echelon of doom.
