I heard a couple songs from Damage Done, and a few from the beginning of their career, but does anyone know how Character is? I'm thinking of buying that along with Damage Done, but I wanna know some opinions first.

Personally, I would start with "The Mind's I" and "The Gallery", but the new one and "Character" are pretty good. Actually, everything by Dark Tranquility is pretty good.

I liked both of the albums. On Damage Done, my favortie songs are Monochromatic Stains, and Hours Passed in Exhile... Well, I dont need to tell you all the songs, just that both albums are good, but some songs on Character seem a bit rushed, and dont really live up to the high standards set by previous albums.

I personally consider Character one of the finest Melodic Death Metal releases ever, you can't really go wrong.

This morning I bought Character and The Gallery, and on my first listen through Character, I am quite pleased. I usually don't like material on the first listen through, but this is good stuff.
They don't have over the top and virtuosic solos like Dream Theater or DragonForce, they just have solid metal material. You can tell these guys know what they're doing.
