I saw Mnemic.
With Hypocrisy, Dark Tranquillity and Soilwork.
So Mnemic didnt stand out much, and I wasnt impressed.

I cant stand Fear Factory. Sure, some of their songs start out very nicely but that lead singer fucks it all up.
Mnemic sorta reminds me of Killswitch Engage.
But its still not alright to like Nevermore?

I hate that type of metal in general. Fear factory, Killswitch engage, strapping young lad, Chimaira, etc. It's all boring to me.

Chimaira always gets lumped in with some other shit because they are on Roadrunner. They play straight up metal, no core. Noooooothinnnnng reeeeemaaaiiiinnnnssss....

I actually disagree. If theyre not metalcore, than what are they? Theres more core in Chimaira than in, say, Unearth. Chimairas definetly not death metal, theyre too slow to be thrash, (although they could be when you look at bands like Dew Scented).
The breakdowns are there. But, Lamp would know more about this than me. or anyone else for that matter.

I bought that last Chimaira cd a while ago. It licks balls in my opinion. I wouldn't waste my time trying to put them into any category.
