Nice to see they're at least acknowledging their previous success by trying to make money off it in the present. New album is called "Metal Black". Here's the album cover:  Track listing: 01. How did they come up with that album name?
It's absolutely brilliant, and totally original. I was half expecting to see metal spelt like "metale" or "blacke".

If this is any indication of the originality to be found on this album, it will be very, very, very, very *deep gasp* very poor.

Their first 2 albums are and always will be their only good releases. Why the hell wouldn't they just give up?

Good point.
But do bands like Venom make alot of money of selling records. I know they're pretty popular, but not something your typical kid listens to. Cause doesn't the record company get to keep like 95% of sales...

I dont know. And I dont know anyone who could tell me. But if that were true that would suck. I think it might be a bit more than that, but there's some advantage to starting your own record company, I suppose.

Not many bands get rich off of album sales, but I guarantee you that Venom makes some pretty cake off of touring. Especially being a three-peice.

Their first 2 albums are and always will be their only good releases. Why the hell wouldn't they just give up? aren't you the guy who hadn't even ever HEARD any venom before coming to this site? first three at least lps are all great, not to mention several live offerings, and a few essential eps |

Maybe I shouldn't have made it sound like they only have 2 albums worth of good material and that's it. I love alot of their other shit besides that. Temples of Ice had a few good tracks, their ep's that I heard were good, along with live shit I downloaded. People have opinions too, mind you. |
