VH1's 'Supergroup' To Premiere In May - Feb. 25, 2006 VH1 has reportedly set a May 18 tentative premiere date for "Supergroup", the new reality show starring Scott Ian (ANTHRAX; guitar), Ted Nugent (guitar), Evan Seinfeld (BIOHAZARD; bass), Sebastian Bach (ex-SKID ROW; vocals) and Jason Bonham (BONHAM, UFO, FOREIGNER; drums). Filming for the program commenced on February 22 in Las Vegas, with the premise being to lock several musicians in a house for 10 days and get them to write and record some new original music. Originally the network wanted the group to record an album, but at this time it is understood they will settle for one song and hope for more. In addition to the five musicians, star manager Doc McGhee (KISS) is in charge and is also living in the house for the duration of filming/recording.
Commented VH1 executive Michael Hirschorn, "What I liked about 'Supergroup' was that is combined elements that have worked so well for us (before), with an organic music idea."
The musicians will endure boot-camp-style training from McGhee in preparation for a concert at the Empire Ballroom on March 5 (where they will perform a version of the ANTHRAX classic "Only", according to Ian).
I think I might watch this train wreck.

The funny part is that Scott Ian is in it. What a freakin idiot. The worst was when I was watching VH-1s Top 100 Hard Rock Artists, they got to Metallica and Scott Ian made a little comment and said "The thing is they're the same band they were in 1983, and that's just amazing." I got up and tied a noose and was about to hang myself after hearing that, but decided it's not worth to lose my life over Scott Ian.

I think I saw that... or maybe it was something different... in fact, I think it was called "when metallica ruled the world". and I was sitting there thinking.. "Jesus, when the fuck did this happen?"

Nah, I never got around to watching "When Metallica Ruled the World", I'm 100% sure it was a countdown of 100 greatest hard rock artists.
But I'm not disputing him making another idiodic remark on VH-1.
