For the last week or so, I've been working on my own recordings. I've been doing guitar and drum tracks, and vocals will be added later. As it stands right now, all the guitar parts need to be redone because I play drums faster than guitar apparently and especially considering the type of music, it would sound better and be easier for me to play the guitar faster than to play the drums slower. A friend of mine from another forum started mixing them and I came to this realization...there is a good chance he'll be adding vocals to some of these tracks. More news to follow...when I get some finished tracks, I'll throw them up on a Myspace or something.

So far it's all short blasts of grind/powerviolence due to me using Sound Recorder which doesn't go for over a minute. My aforementioned friend sent me a copy of Audacity so I'll record some longer stuff that I wrote ages ago that I've had stocked up in my mind.
I wish I had lyrical motivation lately though.

Does it matter what you say in grind? really?

I think it would be funny at the least to scream stuff and try to make people guess what I'm saying.

Or to improvise and then write out the lyrics later.

don't you have time for studying or working? That's nearly the dumbest question I've ever heard.

I'll put it up on a Myspace when I have it done. Thanks for the kind words, I'm not sure if the music's something you'd appreciate but the support still counts anyway.

I recorded some vocal tracks within the last hour. They're scaring the shit out of me. I'm making noises I didn't even know I could make. They also gave me a headache. So obviously, that means they rule.

I'd say Sewer Ladies was the best. It's 7 seconds long, and you're only playing for 2 seconds. More than half the song is blank. Genius. Throw in a cover like "Hitler was a sensitive man" or something like that.
When you're done, let me know. I want to review this.

I don't know how to trim all the silence off the end of it. I think that's the best one so far because even though the guitars and vocals need to be re-recorded, it's a complete song where everything's lined up correctly and it sounds the fastest of all of them(probably because it's so short).

That's what I've been doing all along, but I'm getting discouraged because...well, it sucks.
