Wear suntan lotion and don't pee in the water. This reminds me of another thing I hate: bottles of waterproof sunblock. I can't think of a bigger marketing scam than this shit. I could put the stuff on before even leaving the house and have it fully absorbed into my skin for two hours before going in the water, but it still washes right off. Not to mention the water makes sunburns worse since the sun's rays will reflect right off the water and hit your ugly face. The only way to not have the sunblock come off is to not swim. And trust me, I wouldn't bother whipping out my piece to piss in the ocean. It all has to do with currents and the way they seep in there. |

Yeah, we have beaches. Not very good ones though. The water's cold and full of seaweed. The beach is only really useable a few months out of the year.

When I was a kid going to the beach was fucking pointless, we always travelled 2-3 hours to a remote beach that was always covered in nothing but seaweed and Jellyfish. When you're a kid you don't want to make your way through seaweed and be constantly watching not to step in fucking jellyfish, that shit's not fun. The place we'd stay at was an absolute shithole too, old creaky asbestos filled 1950s piece of crap.
The most pointless thing is, there were better beaches that weren't a 2-3 hour drive away.
I think that's pretty much left me with a disdain for beaches, I'd rather do other shit than go to a beach.
On the whole Goth thing, my sister's into all that bullshit, even though the "best" music she listens to is Cradle of Filth. The rest of it is Lowest Common Denominator angst metaphor goth crap, or bullshit like Jack off Jill, I swear if I have to listen to Jack off Jill blasting from her room again I'm going to put a foot through one of her speakers. It's not really her musical taste that really annoys me though, it's the attitude she's adopted to fit into the whole sub-culture that doesn't know whether it wants to be scary, some emo whinging tortured soul bullshit artist or 'non-conformist' for the sake of it.
I like the fact she thinks she's an individual because she bought a PVC trenchcoat with 10 individual zippers, it makes me laugh.

wow, how old is your sister? hopefully that's all just a phase. my sister is 13 and i was afraid she was leaning towards goth. she's a fan of southpark though and thankfully listens to what the tv tells her. now she's all into that fakey, mtv pop punk like greenday and shit like that. it's 10 times more tolerable than goth though.

I don't have any problems with most of the shit that MTV turns out. They know damn well it's their day for the sun to shine on their ass, and they're not pretending to be anything they aren't. Green Day knows they're commercially acceptable pop punk, and they're not pretending to be anything otherwise.
What pisses me off are these goth nimrods that think they're the core of musical genius and everything they do is going to change the world.

well, that's my problem is that hardly any mainstream music has any staying power. i dont watch MTV because i personally think it sucks dick. but yes, goths dont realize that they're basically listening to the same shlop as the kids who beat them up, just with a darker theme. they make money the same way platinum rappers, and britney spears makes money. they choose an image and milk it for all it's worth. whenever these asshole kids want to listen to real underground music, then they can bitch.

She's quite a bitch too. One of those girls who when she talks on the phone uses phrases like "Oh, shut up" and "OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!". Typical Valley girl. Ugh. |
