My dad's getting a grill when he moves in a few weeks. The place he's moving into has a deck for such things.
Soon to be good times.

it's kinda sad when the youngest one in the family is the best cook. I find it sadder how they know this, yet my dad tries to give advice all the time. don't turn it up too high. not to much BBQ sauce. don't flip them yet. blah blah blah. but yeah grilled patties, steaks, hot dogs, pork chops, all of them taste better cooked on the grill than an oven. good times

If there's one life lesson I've learned from playing golf it's this: The amount of effort one puts into insisting somebody do something a certain way is usually inversly proportionate to their amount of knowledge on the subject.

Right on. I've actually got a 5:54am tee time this Sunday with Skin Splitter and a couple other fellow golfing mongrels.
So I assume you're going to be caddying? I imagine that would be a pretty puff job. Keep your eye on the ball and recommend a club. Get paid by the hour, tipped, drink at the bar for free (assuming the bartender's cool), get a tan, fresh air, and as much free golf as you can handle.

Gotta save up enough money if I wanna go to that lamb of god and GWAR gig (with a bunch of gay nu-metal bands i'm only going because of those 2 bands). never seen either band live before so it should be great.

It's always time to grill in the west. Less dishes, fuck yeah. Make these shrimp kabobs, with a fucking New York strip. Awesome. They're easy and fun to make with the wife, kids. Plus they are really good. This will actually make a whole shitload, you may not need as many vegetables. The sauce is simple, double it if you need more.
2 pounds of cleaned, large, uncooked shrimp. 2-3 each yellow, red, green bell peppers. A couple of pounds each of large onions, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. Cut onions and peppers into squares, and put it all onto some soaked skewers. 2 tablespoons each of vinegar, dijon mustard, water, and chopped parsley or cilantro. Brush mustard sauce on while turning on med heat until shrimp is pink.

I suggest Stubb's Beef Marinade. Ginger and crushed red pepper is the way to go. Soak a london broil or tri tip and slam that slab on for 50 minutes. Sear the sides before placing on some foil. And watch out for the fat, fucker! That shit will flare up on you, so it's all about indirect heat. You're basically baking it in there. Use a meat thermometer. Remember to let the slab sit for a few minutes before carving it up as this will preserve the juices and tenderness. An internal temp of 150 or 155 should come out to 160 after it's been on the counter for a while.

I've mastered a gas grill. Cooked a couple of times on charcoal for the fucking company that fired me. Roger had a trailer that you could throw wood into. I'd like to have that.

If there's one Australian stereo-type that's spot on it's that every household has a barbecue. It's about as integral as a stove.

We had a thread about this show somewhere. Too tired to look it up. There's a lot of shitty bands playing, but there are some pretty decent ones, as well. Which reminds me...I thought The Red Chord was on that list. It would suck if they dropped out.

No they didn't drop out. www.soundsoftheundergroundtour.comSays each day they play between noon and 3pm. Also, apparently Fear Before The March Of Flames is playing this now, which is cool. And Black Dahlia Murder, who I thought was supposed to be on Ozzfest?
