I can't stop playing this. None of my friends can stop playing this. All we do after school is go home and spike to rear aerial with Samus. Or maybe side aerial to fire punch with Luigi. Either way, we all own each other.

After playing the N64 I would have agreed...but the Gamecube has some very good titles for it. Plus the GBA is a 16 bit-retro gaming fountain of youth.
I'll take my PlayStation any day, but I definitely dig what Nintendo is doing these days.

Super Smash Bros. is one of the best multiplayer games out there.
I barely ever touch my Gamecube, good titles are released too far and few between and I'll generally wait a couple of months before snapping one up, by which time it's generally pretty hard to find the title.

I don't own a Gamecube...any practice I've had on Melee has been on other peoples systems. I have the 64 version though...it kicks loads of ass. I like it better than Melee, but that's probably just because I'm better at it.

My son got me Super Smash Brother Melee for my birthday. We played it for about an hour last night and had a blast. Really cool "party game". Played it for about an hour last night, unlocked Marth from Fire Emblem, looking forward to playing it some more.
It's kind of funny in that you can tell it's definitely made for the Japanese audience with the inclusion of some of these characters...The Ice Climbers, Ness, Marth, etc.

Ness was awesome in the original. He sucks in Melee.
I'm a lot better at the original. When I play Melee, I use Luigi...I usually get my ass kicked, but I don't own a Gamecube either.

gamecube is the worse system out of the 3 new ones by far. i owned 1 for 1 week and i had 5 games and i sold it.

I tried using Jigglypuff today. He's even better than he was in the original.
Falco is also good in my opinion.

i got one of the original pokemon gameboy games in a big box of game stuff i bought once. surprisingly fun game, i got pretty addicted to it for awhile.

I actually like the Gold and Silver versions better than the original. But I haven't touched a Pokemon game in a while. It gets boring after a couple months.
Also, what the hell does using a Pokemon character is Smash have to do with playing the Pokemon games? Jigglypuff is a good character in Smash. He ranks like, 4th in tournaments overall. Believe me. A good Jigglypuff player is a thing of horror to behold.

One of my friends went to a tournament down in Virginia over the weekend to play some of the greats in both Melee and 64. The best player in the 64 version, a guy who goes by Isai...he's apparently fucking incredible. I'd heard stories about how this guy beat the second best player in the world without losing a stock. Anyway, my friend got totally assed by him(of course). He's good with all the characters. He was killing people insanely with DK, who's the slowest, most useless piece of shit in the game. He was spiking people at 40%. The guy won every match he played.
Holy shit, what I'd do for video footage of that.

I absolutely love to watch fighting game footage. I really wish competitve gaming would become more popular. What some people can do with Street Fighter is absurd.

I have actually seen some video footage of Isai in training mode on the 64 version before, he can combo people up to about 170% and KO them in about five seconds. I've also seen this guy play Melee, but it's not as impressive because with Melee there are other people on his level(Captain Jack, Ken, Husband and Wife, Thunders, etc.)
