1. The casting of Jack Black was a really smart move. I have a feeling he's going to kick ass as a seedy film director.
2. What I really like about the new King Kong's style is it hasn't been modernized. Everything takes place back in the 30's...as opposed to Godzilla which was so bad even Jean Reno couldn't save it. It has a really classic monster movie feel with giant bugs and King Kong fighting dinosaurs. I love it!

Peter Jackson is the ONLY person I know who can make a movie for over $100 million and it still havea good plot and script.
If Wes Anderson (good scripts)and Roland Emmerich (master of big budget movies with no plots) had a baby....that baby would be Peter Jackson!

It's going to suck like all the other new movies these todays. Just another cheap remake of a true classic.
Well I don't know since Jack Black is in it, it might be decent. They should have put Tom Green in it instead though haha. That would have been the shit!

Remaking King Kong is nothing new, though.
