I didn't think it was that great tonight. Awesome nod to You Can't Do That On Television, though. Plus I fell asleep watching American Dad. It just sucks so much.

I watched part of it as I was running in and out of the room. But I was taping it and I'll watch it this morning

Plus I fell asleep watching American Dad. It just sucks so much. Yeah, but the American Dad this week was a small step above the one last week in my opinion. The one last week was a fucking train wreck.

I think I've given up on AD. It's just not funny. They totally ignored the goldfish last week and concentrated on the stupid kids.

I have given up on American Dad as well. I think at 9:30 tonight I am going to watch my favorite animated characters on C-SPAN.

I'm satisfied. Both Family Guy and American Dad were improvements this week. It's fucking annoying that Family Guy's repeating old gags though.
"I'm serious. I will reach into your chest, rip out your beating heart, and eat it! All of it!"
The quote was American Dad. Classic.

fuck it, american dad has the same brand of humor as family guy, people just arent used to the characters. it was good last night though.
i loved the first episode of the simpsons they aired where ned rents the room to the lesbians with the webcam.
"what are you two laughing at?! and if you say jimmy fallon i'll know youre lying!"

Yeah, the Flanders episode was excellent. The one after that was probably the worst episode of The Simpsons ever made. The only one I can actually say I hated.
"But daddy, I have a girlfriend." "Well now you have a pen pal." "Hooray!"

I agree Derek. Who knows, maybe American Dad isn't complete shit after all? The pilot sucked, but each episode's gotten better than the last. I hope it keeps on this path.

i think people are just compelled to say "it sucks" right off the bat. they're expecting another familly guy, and get disappointed when it's not as good right when it starts out. personally, i dont see what's so bad about it. i didnt hear anyone raving about futuramma when it first aired. or familly guy for that matter. and if you still have no hope for the show, watch the first season of the simpsons and try to laugh. i bet you wont.

Yeah, the episodes from the first season of the Simpsons I've seen are pretty awful.
I honestly think all the people who kept saying over and over "This is going to be a Family Guy ripoff" secretly wanted it to be a Family Guy ripoff so they could expect to laugh and they were disappointed that it wasn't. Now they have anger they have to take out on the show for being something different than what they expected. American Dad IS a different brand of humor after all. Something more traditional for a Seth Macfarlane project.

I don't like the fact that it is so closely related to Family Guy. It's cut from the same cloth, but painted in camouflage. It has a few good laughs per episode...but so does King Of The Hill.
PASS!

king of the hill is funny as hell. it's one of those things where you have to laugh at the characters instead of with the jokes.
fuck it though. southpark is better than all these prime time fox shows anyway. so there.

Yeah. South Park is in its 9th season right now and it's stayed consistently funny throughout its run. Not to mention they make their episodes in five days. That makes them rule all.
