Right now I'm reading three books-
Master of the Cauldron by David Drake (a pretty good fantasy romp, part of his Lord of the Isles series)
At the Mountains of Madness by HP Lovecraft (a reread, actually a collection of novellas and short stories, this one is a must own for everybody)
Field Manual 5-250 Demolitions and Explosives (another reread, because I like things that go boom)

mountains of madness is pretty sweet, but not my favorite of hpl's longer pieces. that honor would probably go to the case of charles dexter ward. i've been rereading all his stuff for the better part of 15 years now though, so it's all good.
now reading: brothers karamazov by dostoyevski. at the slow rate i've been reading lately (before bed while already exhausted generally), i ought to finish up with this sometime around 2015.

I can actually read faster than most people believe it or not (which you don't). I just look at the whole sentence at once and take in all the info rather than read each word individually. I can wrap up a novel in no time if I wanted to.

The bitching part about the HPL book I'm reading is that it's an old Arkham Press compilation, so it's got both At The Mountains of Madness and The Case of Charles Dexter Ward. Plus it's got: The Shunned House, The Dreams in the Witch-House, The Statement of Randolf Carter, The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath, The Silver Key, and Through the Gates of the Silver Key. Bitchin'.

the first two of those stories are great, i never really got too into most of the dreamlands stuff. is this a hardcover book? if so, the one with the blue dust jacket that i think was issued in the late 80s? or an older one? first edition hardcovers of hpl are very sought after.

It's a 1964 hardcover Arkham House Press book that I got from a library. It's got an orange dust jacket with a shoggoth in front of a mountain on the front.
