I need to hunt me down some Terrorama. I hear they give Sarcofago a run for their money.

This is their debut as far as I know, Shevy. Maybe they have a demo out though. Funny you mention Sarcofago because the Terrorama lp will be out on Nuclear War Now!, the same label that just put out the awesome Sarcofago INRI/Insulters of Jesus Christ picture disc.

That's cool. I was reading a mini-sploogefest thread in honor of Terrorama somewhere. I want to say the Relapse board, however actual music discussion over there is kind of rare.

Just like Santa Claus.
My friend sitting next to me on the next computer over is listening to Burnt By The Sun's Soundtrack to the Personal Revolution, which owns.

Cool, glad you're still digging that cd. By the way, what do Noosebomb sound like? They are comiing to town pretty soon. That comp is pretty much my gateway to punk at this point. Plus it makes great driving music. Noosebomb are, for lack of better wording, fucking awesome. Picture a crusty grind version of Grief, and that's Noosebomb. A lot of fun, great mix of style. If I had the chance to check them out live, I wouldn't think twice about going. EDIT...NP: Beyond The Embrace - ...Of Every Strain

Cool, sounds like they should be interesting. Guess I'll have to send you some more of my latest cdrs... CDR's do indeed rock my world. By chance, do you have any information on that other stuff you sent me by White Mice, etc? Since I didn't actually pay for any of their stuff, I feel I should put up some short reviews about how much it kicks ass. Of course, if you're looking to hear any full length stuff from that comp I sent you, I'm all for a swap. NP: Old Man's Child - Black Seeds On Virgin Soil

Funny you posted that particular picture, Shev. I saw Noxagt (from Norway) play with Rattus (Finland) and others this weekend. Primarily a hardcore bill, and then.....Noxagt (kinda heavy progish instrumental rock-bass, drums, electric violin). Surprisingly there were actually crustpunk kids headbanging to thier set, haha. My girl shot two rolls of film at this show, can't wait to see how they turned out. Crowd was off the chain for Rattus (30-40+ year old punkers moshing hard in the pit--AWESOME)... I stage dove twice, every inch of my body is bruised. Fucking amazing night.

In all honesty, I didn't take you for the moshing type. The pit used to be my favorite part of going to see a band live, but it seems that people are just out to hurt everybody in the pit nowadays so I avoid it entirely. I can deal with a punch to the head, but worrying about getting slashed by skinheads isn't my idea of a fun time.

I had swung to that end of the extreme for awhile Shev. I dunno, lately I don't want to go to a show and just stand around with my arms folded though. Prov crowds are pretty cool as far as lack of bullshit. Someone falls, he gets picked up. Someone loses a hat it gets held up till it's claimed. Skins haven't been a problem down here for a long time. Not at shows I go to anyway, but you don't even really see skins around town any more.
Note: the term "mosh" as used by me is a bit tongue-in-cheek since it has become more synonomous with the shitty behavior from frat boys at metalcore shows like you described.

I had swung to that end of the extreme for awhile Shev. I dunno, lately I don't want to go to a show and just stand around with my arms folded though. I can agree with that. I love watching live shows, but just standing around and having a few drinks gets old after a while. That's fucking awesome. Sounds like my kind of town. I don't understand why people just can't be cool. Wearing a hat into a mosh pit isn't terribly bright in the first place, so watching one get tossed around and stomped on doesn't really bother me...but watching some poor guy get kicked in the ribs because he got knocked down is absolute bullshit. Ha! No lie. Although Skin Splitter might be offended as he's big into metalcore as well as moshing. Plus, when he plays golf he transmorgifies into "Chablis Wellington". If that doesn't reek of frat, what does? Ha ha ha! Hear that, baby! You may kick my ass at golf, but my hat is way cooler than yours! NP: The Black Dahlia Murder - The Blackest Incarnation
