We all know there are lots of metalheads who are into jazz and that kind of thing. We have some of those types posting here. But I wonder...can it work the other way around? Can the jazz cats be into grind and all that? It seems much less likely to happen.

I used to post on the All About Jazz board (even won a contest for a couple of autographed Chico Hamilton CD's), but quite honestly it was packed with stuffy jazz queers so I stopped reading it altogether.
There wasn't a single person there into grind, but there were a couple people into technical death metal. I left under the impression that at least half of the people who posted there listened to jazz as a way of expressing their social status. A blue collar genre of music such as grind need not apply.
