I laughed as I read this today: sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2260948&campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlinesAs if it wasn't bad enough that A-Rod insisted he play for the Dominican Republic in the World League Classic...even though he was born in New York and raised in Miami...he has decided to step down altogether. This is a quote from the article: "I am proud to be an American citizen and to have a Dominican legacy"Ha ha ha ha ha! Your Dominican legacy consists of nothing more than your parents telling you bedtime stories of the "old country" and why they chose to move to America. So who really knows why he chose not to play? I'm assuming because the Yanks frown upon having their players in the World League much like they directly told Posada that he is not allowed to participate...but more importantly I'm happy that I can watch some baseball among true athletes that are playing because they love the game, not because of that hefty $15,000 paycheck they'll receive for doing so. Good ridence to A-Rod in the World League.

So we have another one to add to the "Cockmasters of the Professional Sports World".
