Norwegian black metallers SATYRICON will be auditioning drummers in Los Angeles the last week of November (possibly Nov. 24-25) to join them on tour in North America during the coming months.
The never-ending saga of SATYRICON drummer Frost's inability to enter the U.S. due to heightened homeland security has forced SATYRICON frontman Satyr to seek a temporary touring replacement. The band will still be utilizing the services of SLIPKNOT's Joey Jordison on their upcoming headlining U.S. trek, which is scheduled to kick off December 2 in San Francisco, CA.
All drummers interested in auditioning for SATYRICON should contact Hamps Koulayan at the group's record label, EatUrMusic: hamps@eaturmusic.com.
I understand that Satyricon hasn't released anything worth listening to in the past seven years...but the guy from Slipknot? Come on!

Actually, the guy from Slipknot's real good. I saw a video of him once where he was soloing, and they had his drum set bolted onto a platform, and they turned it so he was facing down and was drumming inverted at a 90 degree angle. It was cool.

To be honest, I've only heard a handful of Slipknot songs. The drumming didn't strike me as anything to write home about. I wouldn't mind hearing Anal Blast's demo he did the drumming on, though.

actually ive been hearing good reviews from their latest album. Some of the more purist kind of metalheads seem to dig it as well. I think music wise they are progressing even on a miniscule level
