I'm not sure who here has heard of this band, they're not huge or anything, but I found this on the Trash Art website.
Another Dead Juliet Playing Final Show 12/10/04 Sadly, our good friends Another Dead Juliet are calling it quits. They will be playing a final show in Providence, RI on January 22. More details to be announced soon. So come out and wish them good luck with the rest of their endeavors, and have a good time. That is all.
I saw these guys at a show almost two years ago. They were pretty good. Depending on what day of the week the 22nd is on, I may try and go to this.

Sounds like an emo band. If that's the case, good riddance. The world could use many things...emo is not one of them.

No, it's actually like some hardcore punk band.
Would I ever say that emo was even "PRETTY GOOD"!?

Would I ever say that emo was even "PRETTY GOOD"!? I can't say I know your musical tastes well enough, but one thing I do know is that everybody likes at least a little shitty music in one form or another. Whether they choose to make it well known or keep it under their hat is another story.

Everything I like is shitty.
I can assure you I don't listen to any emo.
I don't know. I just don't believe in the whole "guilty pleasure" thing. If you like a band, then you should be proud of it.

Alright, now I think I can safely say if you heard me enjoying this Burst CD, you'd think I was some kind of fag. I do like to bust out old CDs that I don't really listen to anymore once in a while(NOFX, Propagandhi, Bad Religion, System of a Down, etc.) If you want to talk about really lame, while scavenging through my room, I found some Eminem CD that I bought in 7th grade...
However, I could always tell even from my early days of exploring music that I liked it loud, heavy, and fast. I can still remember in 7th grade the first time I saw the video for Dig by Mudvayne. Obviously now I wouldn't be too impressed(especially since I have a friend who listens to this band and it's their only tolerable song), but at the time I was amazed with the screaming and the general energy of the music because at the time, I had never heard anything heavier. I believe this was also the first time I'd heard a song with double bass in it.
Sometimes I guess you could say I'm a scenester because I try to open myself to other types of music. While I do find myself casually liking bands that are more easily accessible, sometimes even buying CDs and listening to them, lately I haven't been in the mood for anything like that. I'm always so full of rage, especially now that I'm back in school surrounded by assholes that I hate. I get frustrated when the music doesn't sound as angry or frustrated as I am. After a day of school, I need to listen to something that will release my urge to kill everybody in a non-harmful fashion. If I didn't have a CD player or CDs at all, I'd go nuts.

There's certainly nothing wrong with liking a band that's easy to just pop in the CD player and get into. Usually at night when I'm absolutely beat from a long day working, I can't bring myself to listen to music that takes a lot of effort to really LISTEN to...so I tend to grab for something that makes better background music than a dissection project.
