a zine is not a magazine exactly. zines are like magazines, but they are basically homemade in necessarily small quantities. i think there were 500 issues of oaken throne done which is actually a pretty big number in the zine world. the inside pages are photocopied but the covers are pro-printed on some really nice textured black paper with silver ink. it is seriously the nicest zine you will probably ever see (i say this as someone who has seen thousands(?) of them). i think he is currently sold out but has some extra covers so he is going to copy some more of the interior pages to complete them).
