Damn. Have you ever heard people that use those double pedals? Those things absolutely fly. I can't help but think a triple pedal is just plain overkill.

I would have to say that anyone with true talent wouldn't need that. Dave Lombardo on Silent Scream was the fastest double bass my friends and I had ever heard up to that point, and I'm sure he didn't need any gadgets. An old friend of mine, in my opinion, is one one of the most talented and original drummers in the business today. He uses a double mallet type thing but he also has a huge tom and floor tom to add more rumble. This thing is for hacks who cant duplicate the sound of those that inspired them without it.
