i just bought undisputed attitude, hell awaits(both slayer) vulgar display of power (pantera) rise of brutality (hatebreed) i can't stand undisputed (only good song is gemini) 4/10, hell awaits kicks fucking ass but is almost ruined a bit by murky production rate 8/10 and hatebreed is awsome but with to many fillers 7/10 and vulgar display of power is powerful 8.5/10. what do u think of these?

(in short) Undisputed Attitude: I think I'm one of the only people that loved this album. Then again, I also have great memories of listening to this in my truck when I used to paint houses and stuff. Nice sunny day music. A- Hell Awaits: A Slayer classic. What else can I say? A- Vulgar Display Of Power: I absolutely loved Cowboys From Hell, so when this came out I was actually kind of let down. A few good songs on there, but for the most part I just can't get into it. C- Rise Of Brutality: Never heard the whole thing so I can't comment. I don't really like Hatebreed, but Skin Splitter's a pretty big fan.

Heh...it's certainly simplistic and unlike Slayer's normal style.
Whenever somebody says, "metal is crap", I immediately think of Mortician. That must be like what other people hear when they listen to the stuff and can't get into it.

Those are Megadeth's two best albums, in my opinion.
Mortician is a band that became popular through their complete inability to write anything that resembles a song. Instead they focus their efforts on pure brutality, usually starting their songs with a clip from a horror flick. They're actually a lot of fun in small doses, but overall one of the worst bands to actually be considered mainstream for their genre.
Quick story...
Back in 1998 I bought a used Isuzu Rodeo which was owned by a chick that was heavy into stereo equipment. When she traded it in, all she took with her was the box from the back and left the rest of the speakers and amps and whatnot. My boss was selling a custom box, so we agreed on a hundred bucks installed. This was one loud rig.
So anyway, I drive into work one day with Mortician blaring. They use a drum machine to produce inhuman beats on about 95% of their songs, so fed through tons of high end speaker equipment it was pretty interesting. So anyway, I walk inside and the receptionist looked panicked and was dead serious when she proclaimed, "Oh my god, I think we just had a minor earthquake!"
I was kind of stumped as I didn't notice anything shaking around except for maybe my fillings. Then my boss walks in and says, "Was that you making all that noise when you drove in here?"
I informed him that I did have my stereo up kind of loud, only to find that from inside the rediculous tempo of the drums mixed with all the brutal distortion actually shook the walls to the place, and from the inside the noise actually sounded a bit like an earthquake.
Later on that night I tested it out at my apartment by turning up the stereo, popping in a Mortician CD, and then walking down the street. It honestly sounded like one big long explosion, and even with the windows rolled up, I could hear it halfway down the street no problem.
Never seen them live, but I imagine it would yeild the same results.

I once put a piece of paper over the subwoofer for my speakers when I was listening to old Anal Cunt stuff and it rattled and stuck like some kind of weird suction pipe.
