hello i have been considering buying some venom shit unfortunatley i don't know which one to buy. and i don't really know how good they r. so i would like it if you could review some of their music or at leaste tell me what their best cd is.

If you already dig Slayer, you're going to dig Venom. The early stuff, at least. I'd only recommend their first three albums:
Welcome To Hell
Black Metal
At War With Satan
I'd personally recommend starting with "Black Metal" as it contains their two best songs: "Black Metal" and "Countess Bathory".

yes, those three albums shevy mentioned are the best. if you're into records, the 12" eps have some great tunes that you can probably only get on collections/best ofs (die hard etc).
venom is sloppy rude dumb metal, like a more inept motorhead with outrageously over the top satanic imagery. it is NOT black metal at all in the sense people use the term today, so if you're expecting emperor or darkthrone or something you will be disappointed.

I only like their first three, but overall I dig Venom. I totally agree with Scoot's statement.
