Today, I was hanging out with a couple friends, everything was going seemingly nowhere, when we drove by the carnival, which is set to be in town through Sunday. We stopped by for about 20 minutes, and in that time, I went on a ride and got pretty nauseous afterwards, and saw kids from my old school I can't believe I even remembered(I couldn't even recognize some of them). I probably shouldn't have gone.
Talk to me about carnival rides. Take carnival rides for a walk and shut up.

Not a big fan of carnival rides. For one thing, they look like they've been around longer than I have and maintained half as well. For another, they usually only come in two varieties: kiddie rides and rides that spin you around really, really fast.
I just don't see the excitement in being spun around. I like those pirate ships that swing you upside down and around, but rides like Turkish Twists, Round Abouts, and even Tea Cups don't appeal to me.
If I wanted to spin, I would just drink too much in the comfort of my own home.
That being said, I absolutely love roller coasters. I can't wait until my kids are old enough to start hitting amuzement parks. The last time I've been to one was Six Flags with Uncle Meat and his wife (at the time, girlfriend). This was back in...1996 ot '97? Water parks are my cup o' tea, too.

I last went to Six Flags a couple summers ago with my buddy you may know as the shaz. It kind of sucked because he refused to go on anything. I mean, I went on four rollercoasters and he refused to go on any. The only thing he went on was the water park, which is cool, but half the stuff was closed. Now that I have friends who can drive(and one particularly assertive friend, which is a good assertive in this case), I'll probably end up going at least a few times this summer. As long as he doesn't force me to go on the Superman, I'll be fine. I'll go on anything else but the Mind Eraser. That thing sucks. All you can see is the seat in front of you.

I went on the Mind Eraser when it was in Springfield. Front row seats, it kicked unholy amounts of ass.

Anyone remeber the Gravatron or Casino(I think) or the Cobra
I loved the tea cups and seamed to be the only person, taht I know, who didn't mind the Tilt-A-Whirl.
Good times

I've obviously been board lately with all the bumping I've been doing on my forums.
I'd like to point out some things about this thread.
1) I went to Six Flags once over the summer. I went with my two friends that I worked with, and our supervisor(who was like, 23 at the time hanging out with a few high school kids).
2) I went on the Superman three times that day. The thing wasn't nearly as scary as I remember.
3) Mind Eraser still sucked. I was in the front row too...hated it. I don't like rollercoasters where your legs dangle. I always feel paranoid of hitting the other parts of it.
4) As far as water parks...it was an overcast, even somewhat chilly day(probably why the line for Superman was only like, 15 minutes) but we still went to the water park. They had this new thing there called the Tornado which was like a giant funnel. You went down a slide, and then up the sides of this funnel until you went out the bottom(or end or whatever). The four of us combined were about 20 pounds under the weight limit. We absolutely flew up the sides. It rocked.
5) "Shaz" still didn't go on anything outside the water park...
