not sure what you mean by a "kit" but there are few options. the best is something like a nitty gritty record cleaner. works fucking awesome, you spray the cleaning solution on the wax and it actually vacuums out the grooves. my buddy has one of these and it really does the trick. expensive though (i think it's like 250-350 for the non motorized version).
i make my own solution, it's like a 5:1 ratio of distilled water to isopropyl alcohol with a few drops of a photographic wetting agent (you can get at photo supply places). i just put some on an old tshirt and wipe it in the direction of the grooves, then let it dry. i was working on building a record cleaner like the nitty gritty but it kinda fell by the wayside.

i've also used those adhesive lint rollers on dusty wax, it works good but if it's a new sheet you'll need to rub it on your pants or something a few times first because the adhesive will be too strong to roll easily over the vinyl.

Well, by kit I was thinking what my dad had when he was younger. It's like this handheld brush thing, with a compartment you put the solution in.. you drop the solution on the record, then run the brush along the record as its spinning, and wa-la... clean record I was thinking they'd be inexpensive. But your idea sounds like it would work fine.

yeah, my friend has the 250 dollar model and it's more than sufficient.
you can get those brushes at newbury comics i think. make that solution i described, for like 5 bucks you can make a lifetime supply probably.
