I don't know if anyone cares, but I downloaded Gears of War from the new Megadeth album (United Abominations) and it's pretty lame. In the same vein as much of The System Has Failed i.e. slow riffs with annoying nu metal like distortion. Nothing to get excited about. You can download it here. Or not www.megadeth.com/Just thought I'd share that in case any of you dared to think Mustaine might get his shred on one more time. On a happier note, Gigantour in the UK is gonna be cool if everything goes ahead. Testament, Exodus, Anthrax and Megadeth on the same bill. ;D

I heard Gears of War a while back and it just down right sucks. I'd go to Gigantour just to hear Exodus rip apart some Shovel Headed Kill Machine, fuck Mustaine and this garbage. He said sometime ago that he knows "some people love the past and choose to live in it, I however do not." IE I'm gonna force more commercial bullshit upon the media and hope my sales top Metallica's.
The only way I'd buy this is if I find some Target giftcard lying around the house somewhere and have nothing else to spend it on.

"It's really invigorating to go back to playing thrash and speed metal. I started playing this type of music because I loved the way it made me feel. When I started the turnaround with 'The World Needs a Hero' and 'The System Has Failed', it was obvious this was going to be where the buck stops."
Does anyone really have the balls to try and put their faith in him one more time?

If somebody seals him into an isolation chamber and forces him to listen to nothing but 80's thrash for a month straight, then I will put faith in him again. His last good album was R.i.P., releasing only one barely listenable album since then. Megadeth is a joke of it's former self.

Yeah, RIP kicks ass but United Abominations was just down right terrible. I don't understand how people are applauding this release. The only track that is worth more than one listen is Washington Is Next, every single other track is completely unlistenable.
The Atrocity Exhibition makes a complete joke out of this.
