what's the most brutal Death Metal song you've ever heard?
for me it's Beneath The Soil by Vomitory. no other song can match its brutality.

Pick just one? Don't think I can, but I'll give it a shot. Since everybody has different opinions of what "brutality" is, what is your definition?

One would be Shitstorm by SYL. Brutal to me is massive layers of sound and intricate drums

I dont know what brutal would mean. But I'd say Dying Fetus - Reduced To Slavery

you know, brutal means hard hitting or gives you an impact. a song that makes you headbang non-stop because it's so heavy, the right combo of riffs and blast beats. I'd probably be afraid to get into a pit while Vomitory's Beneath The Soil is playing because it's so brutal.

So there would be no brutal doom metal songs by your definition? I dont want to limit song brutality in terms of speed only

I've seen this arguement too many times on too many message boards. People interpret "brutality" to be different things. That's why I asked first.
I suppose by SBR666's definition, probably something off of Krisiun's Conquerors Of Armageddon album. Probably Soul Devourer. There's just soooooooo much shit out there, unless I were to literally put it all side-by-side there's no way I could possibly just pick one song.

Don't know if this counts as 'most brutal' but Open Casket or Leprosy by Death is probly my pick of the crop.

Nice. With the exception of Rick Rozz and Terry Butler, Leprosy was such a great album. Open Casket being one of my favorite Death songs.
I have a review for that laying around here. When I finish up correcting some of the issues with the site, I really need to get back on track with the reviews.

I think the only one I saw on the site was Spiritual Healing by horatio, I havn't heard it but he said it wasn't very well polished.

I thought Spiritual Healing was pretty decent overall. Killing Spree is one of my favorite Death songs.
