Maybe I just don't have strong enough feelings about this because I didn't write any of the reviews in question or even listen to In Flames, but I was kind of hoping there would be some community here... This guy was nothing but a dog who took a shit on the floor and had his nose rubbed in it. I've seen countless people like this on other message boards. They're borderline trolls, and while I wouldn't ban the likes of them from posting here, I'm certainly going to make it well known that they're not welcome. However, nice job in dealing with this guy, Lamp. Unfortunately this guy obviously didn't like people being nice to him, but regardless it's a good way to deal with people shooting their mouths off. Don't hesitate to slap these bitches around if they don't calm down, though. |

The only thing I feel bad about in retrospect is the way I shamed my own forum. This is supposed to be where I spout off and shoot innocent bystanders for being ugly. I should have called this guy a fucknutted dicktard when I had the chance.

Overall thoughts at this point:
1) I feel like this thread has been beaten to death. Nobody could possibly say anything new at this point.
2) Tulk, if you don't like us, why do you keep coming back to this thread?
3) Shevy, you mentioned you'd never had anyone complain about a review above a B. So nobody's ever emailed you saying "WHAT!?!?!?!? HOW COULD YOU GIVE THIS ALBUM AN A!?!?!?!?!??! IT SUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pr0n0rGy!!!!!!!!!!!1111"
4) I noticed a couple other people signing up to this board after this argument started. Inviting your gay little In Flames buddies to read this forum, since it's the only one you have to register to read?
5) I think the Maddox article may have taken one point by saying whoever types in all caps lock is an idiot, but if you look at the email, it's completely moronic. Sure, you can criticize the way Horatio's typing, but you're not reading what he's SAYING. You're just being an ass.
6) The last time I checked, nobody gave a damn about what you had to say about music. Where's your review page? Trust me on this, I have learned from personal experience that arguing about music gets you nowhere. It's like trying to break a brick wall with your penis. It just won't happen.

1. Nope. Never had a complaint from anything saying that I've over-rated an album.
2. My penis can totally break through a brick wall.
3. I was just kidding about the above comment. Somebody did give me shit once about over-rating an album, but it was something that I had graded poorly in the first place.
EDIT: Most importantly, unless anybody has anything they would like to add, I'd say this discussion is pretty much over. If Mitchie and/or any of his friends have anything they would like to add that actually shows intelligence, I'll be glad to comment. Other than that, he/they can all go get fucked.

Well, not enough to to reply to all of ya, but first, no friends know about this thread as far as I know.
Second, I keep comming back because I enjoy provoking generic assholes into thoughtless arguements at times. It tends to be fun. (Though to be fair to you, you are a better bunch than most I do it to... the Marijuana party of Cananda was a hoot n' a half though.).
Third, I didn't complain about any rankings. Just the uninformed reviewer using false information. As I've said, if you hate an album say you hate it. Don't try to justify that with "They try to be like Iron Maiden!!!one!11eleven!" or "Violins?! But they don't use violins!!!". Then I'd have been happy and not made this thread in the first place.

In re-reading my first post, at the end I did get a bit too "intense". However, in re-reading my first post, I had a point. You people are ignorant. Read it again. I said I don't care if you hate em and write a review saying so(meaning there is no need for a counter-review or wahtnot). I did however say that your method of reviewing is ignorant. As I said, you use false information in order to bash a song. Several times. You also said they were trying to be a different band, or implied it many times (Note: Being influenced and copying are two separate things. Every band has influences). It'd be impressive for you to know this, you'd either have to be a personal friend of the band's or be able to read minds. (If either of those is true I'm sorry and take back my comments).
So yea, sorry for bashing you harshly at times, but it does not change that your reviews need some heavy editing at times.

Tulk, this is getting old. We all know what your first post said. For all I know the violin statement was a bit of low-blow sarcasm thrown in by Skin Splitter which certainly isn't uncommon for him. You continuing to argue this point and others like it will keep us going around in circles.
I suggest you take Scoots advice and write something that we can constructively talk about. If you're trying to prove a point to us that you haven't already, that would be your best approach.
