how come on the wrethed spawn review for cannibal corpse he went on about how it's a good album and the average song rating was B- yet he gave the overal album rating a C-. the doesn't make sence. it is a finely package cd, it comes with a dvd and a cool case. i think the person that reviewed it was skin splitter

this is Skin Splitter (or chicken head). The reason I gave the songs an aderage of a B- and the album a C- is due to a pretty simple thought. When I review a song. I take the song as just that. One song. each song is it's own seperate entity. and since I think Cannibal Corpse are GREAT song writers, they get a high score. However, when I look at the entire album, I'm judging it as compared to the album as a whole AND where previous albums compare to it. So, the songs on the Wretched Spawn are very good. However, this album is not as good as THE BLEEDING or BLOODTHIRST. So, that's why the songs rate high and the album get's a lower grade. The DVD from the Wretched Spawn is good as well. I noticed though that it looked like Jack didn't have the heart anymore for Corpse just by listening to him. But watching Pat O'Brien and Alex Webster play Frantic Disembowelment made me want to throw my guitar as far as I could. That was just SICK. Watching that song inspired me to get off my ass and take lessons so I can do that.
I would also like to mention that when I listened to the album, i didn't have a cover. and no DVD. But, for me, cover art and an extra DVD does not distect me from the most important thing. The music (or bloody meat and potatoes) itself.
