Having just read this review of Powerslave I would pretty much agree with most of it. One or two things though I can't let go. To call "Losfer words " filler is a travesty. It is vintage, old school Maiden. No arguments. "The duellists" and " Flash of the blade" aren't great I'll grant you but they are far from bad. The six tracks either side of these two are stone classics. However, it is not the last Maiden classic. But that accolade does not, repeat NOT go to the Godawful " No prayer for...". The last classic without a doubt is " Seventh son...." which you don't even mention. I take it you don't have it. Get it. It's a really strong album, start to finish.

Maiden's best effort since the classic era is "A Matter of Life and Death". 8 of the 10 songs are heavier than ANYTHING put out in the past. The 3-headed monster of Smith, Murray and Gers is incredible! Bruce wails with his best lyrics and range of his career. If you haven't listened to this REPEATEDLY, then you are truly missing out.
