I'll be honest. I never thought I'd see the day where the Red Sox and White Sox win 'em back to back.

On top of that, I was looking at a huge list of predictions with about 10 games left in the season. There were probably a good 30 names from big publications...and not one of them listed the ChiSox to win it all (and only a couple that even predicted them to make it).

All I can say is: What an odd last five years of ballball with the Champs being...

White Sox
Red Sox
Marlins
Angels
Diamondbacks

i heard this on the news as my clock radio woke me up this morning. i didn't even know the world series was going on. obviously if the red sox aren't playing no one in new england gives a shit.

That's what I kind of hate about Red Sox baseball in New England. People are bigger fans of the Red Sox than they are of baseball. I'm only speaking for the majority, though. You go to a Red Sox game, and people are asking questions about what's going on in the field. Really basic stuff like, "Why is the pitcher throwing to first base instead of the guy at home plate?"

When you go see minor league games, it's a whole different story. People aren't all wrapped up in the commercialism of major league baseball, and are there simply because they enjoy baseball (and usually their home team).

As for the White Sox, I've always had a soft spot for them since Fisk played there as well, so I think it's awesome they finally won one. When Fisk was there, they had some bad ass players...Raines, Ventura, Sosa, Frank Thomas, Bo Jackson, Thigpen, McDowell, Radinsky, etc.

Hahaha, I was thinking the same thing when I saw the topic of this thread. This isn't the first thread on a message board I've replied to about the White Sox winning the World Series either, but the first one was written by a retard so I had no idea what was going on.
