Soccer fans are a classless bunch in general. This is evident in the USA vs. Mexico game yesterday. In all honesty, I only caught the last 15 minutes of it, but I heard about the beginning of the game.
First off, the Mexicans boo'ed our national anthem. Whatever, the fucking Canadians (who are so low-class they can't even move to France) do the same thing.
But to start an "Osama, Osama" chant during the game? I mean, how low class can you get?
I understand that soccer fans talk about the game like Americans talk about politics, but come on. That's too much.
Sucks that Mexico won, too. That place is just one big armpit.

Sadly America is good in everything else but soccer and the rest of the world holds that over out head.

Yeah, that's pretty much why the MLB exists. Americans vs. Americans...there has to be some good teams, right?
I think the reason why soccer is so incredibly unpopular in the states is due to the fact that America just isn't that good at it. I mean, people watch the Olympics and don't even know who (and sometimes what) they're watching. So why do they watch it? Because the US generally wins a few medals.
Soccer, on the other hand...who wants to support a losing team? Especially when there are various other sports in the US for people to follow that offer winning teams.
