I wound up getting a DS the other week, along with a copy of Super Mario 64 DS. Shit's a lot easier when I've actually got a stylus and thumbstrap to use. Revisiting SM64 with some added stars is pretty cool so I'm happy with the purchase. The Metroid Prime: Hunters Demo is much more impressive though, it's a bitch at first to control, but once you've gotten the hang of it the game controls like a dream. I'll definitely be picking up the full version when it's released.

Speaking of Mario ports, I got Super Mario World on my SP. It's the same great game, but there's a few notable changes. The best one is that Luigi and Mario are actually different and you can use either in one player(though I usually prefer Mario anyway). Unfortunately, they did things to make it easier...being able to save anywhere, adding halfway points in levels that didn't have them...and they both TALK. I HATE that. But still...same great game.

That's kind of cool.
It would be cooler if they packaged the the updated version of Super Mario Bros. along with the US and Japanese (translated, of course) versions of SMB2.
On an off note...anybody here every play the Japanese SMB2? I heard it was hard, but when I finally got around to playing it I realized it's HARD.

Back when they released the original SMB for the Game Boy Color, they included the Japanese version and called it "The Lost Levels". I don't think I ever beat it because some other kid was so busy using my Game Boy that he whipped through it himself.
The last level has two Bowsers.
