Oscar? Where in th blue hell did you get that from shevy? Are you refering to our arguement a few years back about Bugsy? BIG Difference.
Anyways Yes i did go to Film school and it was the biggest waste of freaken money i have ever spent. I spent 2 years working at the Home Shopping Network ( where johnec from the DM-FFA currently works). Why do you think I got myself a second degree in business/marketing?
I only show one film in the my and that is Dead Poet's Society. Forthose that don't know I teach high school kids who want to become teachers. I think that movie basically shows the different types of teachers and how society and schools forwn upon teachers who encourage indivdual thought and self espression both in the real world and in life.
I have REALLY wanted to show an old b/w movie in class called Inheriet the Wind which is based ona famous court case where a teacher taught theories of evolution in the classroom.
When I was in film school we watched -The Right Stuff -Search For Bobby Fisher (at least 8 times... this is the film we examined over and over) -Wallace and Gromitt: The Wrong Trousers That's all i can remember. It was almost 10 years ago.
And for the record my favorite movies are as follows: -Rudy -Casablanca -Bad News Bears (The Original) -Sideways -Porky's

We watched a movie in class today called "October Sky" about some whiney ass kid who would rather spend all his fucking money trying to build some cheap ass roket than mine coal. "Oh i'm to fucking brilliant to mine coal," he figures.
Quite the fag.

I've seen it. Very standard drama with overall lackluster acting, piss poor script, and comedic relief so bad it insults the intelligence.

Sadly that movie came out shortly before I left Marshall University. When that movie was released the gentlemen for whom that movie is about were treated like heros in the state of West Virginia.
So there you have it.. invent rocket fuel... you get women in West Virginia.

invent rocket fuel... you get women in West Virginia. Ha ha ha! If that was the subtitle on the movie posters it would have done so much better at the box office.
