Just watched this last night. I'm sorry I didn't see it sooner. Definitely not as bad as everybody said it was. I thought it was worlds better than Manhunter, but not as good as Silence Of The Lambs.
The reverse roles were a nice subtle touch, and in no way did this movie try to rival Lambs...instead opting for more of an extreme violence approach. Two very different movies, two very different styles. I thought it was awesome.
A couple of things that I don't quite understand, though...
1. Did Hannibal have some kind of tie to Mason's personal physician? I probably missed something, but Mason's death seemed kind of pointless.
2. How is it that a man in the FBI's Top Ten Most Wanted can casually travel around the world with a simple change in hair color?
