I agree that Dr. Doom is probably the best overall villian in the Marvel universe, but I had to go with X-Men. While not a huge fan of the comic, enemies like the Sentinels, Magneto, The Jugernaut, Stryfe, Holocaust, and Deadpool make the better stable.

i really like the sentinels but overall i dislike the x-men villians. magneto always seemed way overpowerd to me. other peeps like the hellfire club, morlocks, mystique, toad, etc are just boring and (generally) ugly to look at.
honorable mentions: loki, red skull, mephisto, ultron

You think Magneto is too powerful yet you support Dr. Doom? If these two ever fought it out, Dr. Doom would win hands down. Granted...metal suit, but the guy has the strategic intellect of ten thousand Miyamoto Musashi's. He'll come up with something to negate magnetic effects...or use a suit like a Sentinel, probably suck the power right out of Magneto in doing so like he did to Silver Surfer, and then obliterate him with magic. It wouldn't even be a contest.
In other X-Men related news...rumor has it that Kelsey Grammer has signed on for X-Men 3 to play Beast. Ha!

see, doom makes sense because he's not only an ultra scientific genius but an ultra powerful sorceror as well. it makes sense when he's portrayed as super powerful. i think it's kind of lame the way magneto's magnetic powers are constantly trotted out like they are the sickest shit ever, that's all i'm saying. i don't like the way the character is written.
