You probably heard about this band by now. But I think you should see their video. Its really hilarious. The band is in outerspace inside a spaceship then they get attacked by a giant rubber octopus. In the end they save the day by slaying the monster with ray beams that are shooting out of thier guitars.
And the song? Oh yeah its entitled I believe in this thing called love. Sung in complete follsetto.
It has been a guilty pleasure for me singing along with it because it very reminiscing of 80's hair band and Spinal Tap and Queen. They didnt forget to wear the some open chested spandex as well.
I you are wacky enough maybe you can get the cd. Or maybe you can give it as a present for persons like Spoon and Uncle Meat because they certainly wont buy it for themselves not unless their getting it for thier clones.

My evil clone listens to country music and watches romantic comedies. I wish my clone was cooler.

The last two occasions I was in Newbury Comics they were playing this over the speakers. I had no idea who it was but I really dug the guy's voice. Boy was my face red when the cashier told me who it was. Oh well. For what it's worth, I didn't get the whole 80s metal revival vibe off of it, just sounded like decent straightforward modern rock. *shrug*

I don't think I've heard them before. My wife asked me if I liked them. If my wife has heard of it and I haven't, it's safe to say I'm almost positive I think it will fucking suck.
