I have to disagree with the Maiden--Somewhere in Time review. That album to me was the beginning of the end. I wouldn't rate any song on it higher than a C-. One of their coolest album covers, without a doubt. Unfortunately that's as far as I could enjoy it. But at least it wasn't as bad as Seventh Son *shudder*.

A lot of people definitely did not dig Somewhere In Time. Personally, it's my favorite Dickenson album.
I'd say their turning point occured with the release of Fear Of The Dark. That was some utterly horrid shit, and paved the way for the Blaze Bailey years which I just as soon forget. But what do I know? I loved No Prayer For The Dying and think Peice Of Mind sucks.

As long as we can agree that it never got better than Iron Maiden and Killers, we're all good.

I'm pretty sure Horatio would agree with you on that. Personally, Iron Maiden is still my all time favorite Maiden album.

I DON'T KNOW MAN. THE MORE TIME PASSES THE MORE I BELIEVE 'NO PRAYER' IS THE GREATEST METAL ALBUM EVER.
