"(We) will record a live album in Italy between September 17th-19th. We will tape three shows (Milan, Catania, Ascoli). Recording will be done by
our sound engineer Tapio Pennanen and will be assisted by Erkki Saviharju. We are celebrating 15 years as a band next year so it is about fucking time to do a profesional live CD which will also serve as a best-off for those not so familiar with our material. We are practising total of 28 to 30 songs for the shows and the setlist will cover our whole career, including our 7" ep´s! The live CD will be mixed at Sonic Pump Studios (just outside Helsinki, Finland) by Mr. Pennanen. Expect early next year release, it will be out on Osmose Productions. Our latest album (All That You Fear) will be officially out in Brazil on 25th of September. It is licensed for Haunted records."
Wow. A live album I'm actually looking forward to!

I love Imp Naz but a live album could be all wrong if it has shitty sound. If it just sounds like noise then it will suck

This is on the Imp Naz site: Here is the update about our live album and let me tell you, somebody out there seem to be against this album a lot.
Original plan (as it was announced here earlier) was to record three shows in Italy. Things got, well, really fucked-up. Our first show was in Milan and we had flights via Paris with Alitalia. We arrive to Milan, our luggage does not. After spending (read fighting) hours there, we manage to get info that some of our luggage will arrive later that day. Well, we got some stuff but our guitars and bass remained in Paris.
We borrowed equipment from support band and did our best, the show itself was great, fantastic crowd. We did record it but something was wrong and we got only 8 drum tracks on tape, nothing else.
We said “fuck it, we still have two shows left”. We arrive to Sicily next day and it turns out that the mixing console of the club is so dated that it does not have digital outputs for our recording gear. The same thing was in Ascoli, the last show, no digital outputs on the mixing console. We could not believe our bad luck. And this was just the beginning of this misery…
Well, we had a show in Stockholm, Sweden, a week later. We made sure that their mixing console was up-to-date, got an excellent backline and all was well. Until some cocksucker decides to take out electricity while we are on stage. We were near the end of our set and suddenly power is cut off. After ten minutes or so, power is back on and we do rest of our set. We get off stage and then our soundman breaks the news: We have exactly THREE songs on computer (digital recording, you see), rest was lost during power break. We were like what the fuck.
So we said, we do have two shows in Russia, let us record them. Great country to do a live album, insane audience. Once again we check all the shit to make sure that we can actually record both of the shows.
We meet everybody at Helsinki railway station and there comes our soundman without recording gear. We are like “what now?” and well, let´s just say that thanks to somebody (not our soundman), we did not get the gear we were supposed to get. Somebody fucked up big time. Off to Russia sans recording gear.
St. Petersburg show was really a fucking blast (even though we had to cut our settime because whole thing was running late), really a shame we couldn´t record it. But Moscow…well, here is a story for you:
We had done our soundcheck, all was well. Doors opened, fans poured in. I was hanging out with them, signing shit, talking crap with people. Russians fans are really among the best out there. Some people wanted to buy me a few drinks and I agreed. I was just not careful enough, unfortunately. Somebody put something to my drink. I went back to backstage and that is the last thing I remember. I just collapsed there, rest of the band was like what the fuck is going on.
They took me outside, forced me to vomit, I was just totally fucking out of it. And this was before the show, of course. Club security came and gave me russian smelling-salts. And by some fucking miracle, I managed to get myself together enough to do the show. And I remember none of this. People thought I was fucking drunk, in fact I was drugged. So we did the show, played fucking 27 songs!!! I collapsed again after the show, totally unconscious. Woke up at 3am and was like “what the FUCK has happened”. I could not believe it when I was told the whole story. Last time I accept free drinks from anybody.
So, there you go. So what is next you ask? We headline a show at Tavastia club (here in Helsinki) on 19th of December, and we will record that show so we can finally have material for that cursed live album. One thing is sure, it won´t be out on January 2005 as was the original plan.
Good story, but sucks the live album is delayed.
