SUFFOCATION, BEHEMOTH and SOILENT GREEN will be teaming up for a U.S. tour beginning in late January 2005. Confirmed dates so far are as follows:
Jan. 23 – TBA – Atlanta, GA Jan. 26 – Sanctuary - San Antonio, TX Jan. 27 – Trees - Dallas, TX Jan. 29 - Launch Pad - Albuquerque, NM Jan. 30 -The Rock - Tucson, AZ Jan. 31 - Mason Jar - Phoenix , AZ Feb. 01 - Galaxy Theater - Santa Ana, CA Feb. 02 - Key Club - Los Angeles, CA Feb. 05 - Studio Seven - Seattle , WA
More dates will be announced soon.
SUFFOCATION are continuing to tour in support of their latest CD, "Souls to Deny", which was released in April through Relapse Records. The band's first full album of new material since 1995's "Pierced From Within", "Souls to Deny" was recorded at New York's Full Force Studios with engineer Joe Cincotta and is "the cleanest, heaviest SUFFOCATION album to date," according to drummer Mike Smith.
I have never really been a Suffocation fan, but I certainly wouldn't mind checking out this tour. Behemoth and Soilent Green could easily be worth it assuming the ticket prices aren't blown out of proportion. Plus I wouldn't mind seeing Suffocation just for the hell of it.
Now we just need some dates closer to home...
