www.misfits.com/Fits_zombies_pic.htmlPeople will buy anything. You know what we need to do at KitF? Come up with some kick ass character designs and market the living fuck out of it. Then we can all write two reviews a year, but it won't matter because people will be buying our shitty T-shirts, hats, bumper stickers, ashtrays, watermelon holders, official used motor oil, and meatloaf pans. You can buy all the Misfits shit in the world, but they're never going to write a song as good as "Death Comes Ripping" again.

God DAMNIT! I fucking hate the Misfits! Aren't these punk bands all supposed to be the anti-capitalism ones who never market anything? Why the hell is this band releasing action figures, lunchboxes...I saw INCENSE once. MISFITS INCENSE. God damnit, I hope everyone in that band dies real quick.

I have no interest in taking a whiff of insence put out by the Misfits.
But you know what would be cool? If the Misfits and Cradle Of Filth went on tour with KISS. Then they could just take those merch booths and put them right on stage. The bands wouldn't even have to play! You just pay your $50 and buy merch for four hours.

Dudes, these aren't the Misfits. No Danzig=no Misfits. They are probably my favorite band ever, but they died in '83.
I wouldn't care if these at least looked cool, but why do they have that gay Japanese super deformed style? Ugly. The 12" Misfits figures (Jerry and Doyle) that came out a few years ago in the coffin shaped boxes (that I got for 4.99 each on clearance at KB) are fucking AWESOME though. I've been working on making a Danzig figure to go with them, but I can't find a Ken doll t-shirt to dye black etc.

Not to mention a Ken doll figure that's short enough...

Not to mention a Ken doll figure that's short enough... I bought one of those 21st Century WW2 figures and cut about a 1/4" out of each calf to make him proportionally the right size to the other figures, no joke.

Now that's paying attention to detail.
So be honest with me here...once you have that Danzig figure completed, are you going to create a Henry Rollins action figure and make them fight it out?

Haha, when did Henry and Danzig ever fight? One of the records (Evilive I think) even has Henry guest vocals on one track.

One of my friends clicked on the link after I put it in my profile and learned that they have their own brand of guitar strings.
Somebody kill these assholes, now.
Edit: Oh yeah, my friend also had this in his AIM profile: "It's all I can do to pray that nobody will be stupid enough to buy both versions of the new Good Charlotte album."
Hahaha...

Haha, when did Henry and Danzig ever fight? One of the records (Evilive I think) even has Henry guest vocals on one track. Nah, they never fought. It's just a common question among retarded metalheads, "Duuuurrrr...who would win in a fight? Henry Rollins or Danzig?" Oddly enough, I was reading an interview with Rollins where he was asked that question. Rollins basically said, "I get asked this all the time. Danzig would win. Hands down."

If you agree to pay for the extensive searching that the Northern Light search engine does, I guarantee you I can find Misfits pogs within five minutes.

Here's some more interesting Misfits news...
Former MISFITS and current GOTHAM RD. frontman Michale Graves has confirmed reports that he has enlisted in The United States Marine Corps. "My enlistment took place on August 25, 2004 with the full support of my friends and family," Michale writes on his newly launched official web site MichaleGraves.net. "I will leave for recruit training on January 10, 2005 and will serve in the infantry reserve."
In other news, "I am curently re recording all of the material from 'The Web of Dharma' along with new material I have written over the past year to be released the end of December," Graves writes on his web site. "Samples of some songs will be up soon. GOTHAM RD. is working on new material and finishing up on some songs that will be made available in the next couple of months as well.
"I have been invited to speak at The Young Republicans Club in NYC on Oct. 21, 2004 at 7:30 PM. There will be a Q&A session after my address. More information can be found here. I have also have been asked to be featured for a Canadian documentary regarding music and politics that will air in the coming months as well. All the specific info will be made available as it becomes available to me."

Please change the name of this thread so that I'm not continually fooled into thinking posts will be about the Misfits. Graves is going to get the Niedermeyer treatment in Iraq.

Out of curiosity, Scoots, what is your opinion of Danzig the band?

The first two Danzig solo albums are essential. I haven't heard the third one enough to have an opinion, but I'm guessing it's good too. Downhill after that.
