I love hate mail...which is why I was kind of bothered that I haven't been receiving any lately. Luckily for me, I just found a nice little gem in my inbox this evening. Let me share it with you along with my reply, and should any more hate mail come my way I'll use this thread to relay these intelligent little tidbits of feedback along with my reply.

My reply: So how about you be a good little doobie and let me know which reviewer made fun of your favorite band...or at least which review you obviously don't agree with? While your E-Mail is certainly colorful enough, it doesn't really tell me much of anything except you have the intelligence of a pair of pants. Much appreciated.

The funny part is, most people that send you this hate mail are dumber than they say the reviewers are. They'll go on about how all your reviews are fucking stupid and poorly written, meanwhile their complaints are poorly written and never have any meaning behind them.

2. I wasn't criticizing them for being stupid, I was criticizing them for saying the reviews are stupid even though the people that write the hate mail are fucking stupid. There is a difference.

Lamp, unfortunately I have yet to hear of anybody complaining about one of your reviews. Usually most of the hate mail I get is aimed at either Horatio or Skin Splitter...but mostly Horatio.

Because when you did it to me, it wasn't funny. Not to mention the whole "stooping down to their level" thing.
That's some serious shit. And you can't get that pissed off if someone doesn't like your reviews because then you'll open the floodgates to assholes looking to make fun of you for no real reason.
Besides, hate mail is funny.

I don't know if you're just making light of when you did the same thing to Lamp or what...but threatening somebody over the internet is weak. I'd rather make fun of somebody who sends me a message like that since they'll probably take it serious and get even more mad. Then I don't have to worry about some dumbass signing up for the message board and telling all their friends. Makes this a happier place to post.
