I would assume lack of anything resembling a social life. Sounds like a recluse holed up in his parent's basement blowing all their money on either video games, computer gear, or CD's. It was actually a South Park forum.
Interesting note: I did actually get banned from a Futurama forum some months ago. The kid who owns this SP forum posted there, which is how I found out about it and the only reason I would waste my time there.

The jokes in Family Guy are clever. Most 12 year olds don't laugh at Family Guy as much as they should. But why do you think so many kids watch South Park. The jokes in it have no logic behind them and it hardly ever makes me laugh. It's only as popular as it is because it's so witty.

Sometimes the jokes in Family Guy are clever. Other times it's just drawing off a memory. That's why 12 year olds don't laugh as much as they should at the show...they are referencing older things these kids don't know about. The show isn't really targeted at our generation.
However, South Park has a tendency to get annoying when they just pick up a newspaper and write an episode about whatever story is making headlines. You know, kind of like right now. But you say South Park is witty, but you like Family Guy because it's clever? You're not making a lot of sense right now. Although it may not be as witty as you think if it just blurts out what they're trying to say at the end of every episode...

I remember when South Park first came out I would have sleep over's with my friend and we would stay up till 1 am and watch that show. I never laughed at it once I just sat through it hoping to hear a swear or some comment for adults. Never laughed at it once. And I still rarley laugh at it. Seriously, do you ever actually laugh at that show out loud because I sure as fuck don't. I still watch it when nothing else is on, but it annoys me. Why is it that Kevin Spencer is almost unheard of when millions of people watch South Park. It's kind of like "why is McDonald's so popular."
