Picked up RE4 cheap over the weekend, been giving that the odd bit of play every now and then. I'm not a Resident Evil fan but RE4 is one of the best games I've played. I'd recommend it to anyone with either a GCN or PS2.

Those RE games kind of strike me as bloated eye candy more than anything. At first I really liked the horror themed game, but after a couple weeks it just got so old. Same with the second. I played the demo, recovered from the wowwie factor, and just thought it was "eh".
Then again, I'm not really into those types of games in the first place (with the exception of the Onimusha series).

Normally I'd agree with you, but RE4 feels a lot more action oriented and a hell of a lot less clunky. Hell, I'm yet to actually really find the game frightening.

This thread needs to be revived.
I beat Onimusha Tactics yesterday. Not the best strategy game in the world, but the final battle was rediculous. Currently working on Advance Wars 2.

I got "the warriors" a couple of weeks back.. fantastic game.. free flowing brawls, tonnes of objectives and a great storyline. Highly recommended.

I have finally beaten Dragon Warrior III. The hardest overhead RPG I've played since Ultima V.
Now I'm working on Final Finatasy II (the original Japanese version translated for GBA with some updated graphics).

Yesterday I just put in my 114th hour into The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion.
So glad to see Scoots is a fellow TES fan.

I'm in the process of playing Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Cars are pretty good, but like all the Need for Speed titles for some strange reason theres not a single pedestrian anywhere and certain aspects of the game such as the traffic is just bullshit. It makes me think sometimes they spend all their time on the cars and then just whack all second rate bullshit around it and hope that no one will notice.

This thread could use a little reviving.
Earlier last month I beat Sega Casino on the DS. Can't believe in this day and age Sega of all people would release such a bad/easy casino game. I picked up the gold status and unlocked all the games in less than ten hours. Big waste of money.
Today I just beat Castlevania: Harmony Of Dissonance on the GBA. The lack of familiars was a little disappointing and there were a few parts of the game that got a little boring as you randomly search between two castles for where to go next, but overall it was pretty good. It's also the first Castlevania game I've ever beaten. I've come so close on Castlevania I, Castlevania III, Symphony Of The Night, and Circle of The Moon, but never actually finished any of them.
And for the old school Castlevania fans, since this game takes place after Simon's Quest, towards the end you get to fight "Simon's Wraith" as a common monster. It's pretty slick.

I'm still ripping The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion apart.
As depressing as it is, I have put over 140 hours into that game.

Also just beat Castlevania: Aria Of Sorrow. Even managed to get all 3 endings. Way too easy, and no hidden/reverse castle. There was a little unmapped section which was supposed to be in some chaos state, but that's all. Took me a total of 10 hours to beat it the easy way, and 11 hours to get the best ending. Unless you're hard-up for some Castlevania action or just suck at gaming, avoid it.

Super Mario RPG was a surprisingly awesome game when it first came out. I rented it and couldn't stop playing it. I got wicked close to the end, but figured by that point it would make more sense to just buy the game rather than continue to pay rental fees on it.
Of course, this never happened until about a year ago when I found a loose copy in a pawn shop for $3.

Yeah, I rented it forever. I found a version off Ebay, and I still love it.
