If you're a vegetarian, you can save all the meat and give it to me at the Living Room. I love burgers.

Outdoor show somewhere.. the thing is, I told my friend I'd go to his graduation party that day, so... hmm...

only band i know on that bill is the body and they're rad. they have songs longer than your entire set probably, haha. 2-man doom metal.

Didn't Another Dead Juliet break up?
I actually got some stuff by the Body from Scoots. It was okay.
I heard some All Those Opposed recordings on Lots of Noise and wasn't impressed. However, I've heard that was a real shitty recording so I guess I have nothing to say about them.
A band from my school is playing a show that same night, but this one sounds more interesting, anyway.

the key to enjoying (imo) any doom kinda record is to fuckin CRANK THAT SHIT. an mp3 playing on gay computer speakers is not adequate. i admit i don't love the body's vocals, but they are fucking crushing musically (and the vocals are sparse anyway).

just got back from seeing (no idea), get killed, contempt for humanity, and a couple songs of no regard. emily was out with the girls tonight so i was flyin solo, boring shit. american legion shows get the weirdest youngest crowds, i didn't know anyone there but dude/ladies in the bands.

So I'm not the only one in here who appreciates being able to go to a show without smelling like a fucking ashtray afterwards?
Good.

Me too... I'm hoping RI eventually goes smoke-free indoors like MA and other states.

dude... RI is smoke free since earlier this year! (except for certain private clubs, which is why i thought the vfw might still allow it)

Derek, have you ever seen a newspaper in your life?
They passed legislation banning indoor smoking on March 1st.
Good, I say. People drink their liquors but at least it doesn't smell up entire buildings. Destroy cigarettes.

Oh, weird.. well... umm... I... was away for a while... haha. I was in GA until April, so I wasn't here for the announcement, but I actually do think I remember seeing something about that when I was in GA and thinking how bad it sucks that I wasn't going to be here. I guess after a couple months down there I forgot though. And, since I've been back, I only go into clubs, or restaurants rarely because I'm trying to conserve my money for the whole "jobless" thing Well that's.... awesome!

Ah, that's right. I guess if you were away then you've got a decent excuse to not know about this.
At least you didn't have to see that one commercial...what was it..."In Maine, they cleared the air...then in Connecticut they cleared the air...then in Massachusetts, they cleared the air. Now in Rhode Island, we will clear the air" and it shows all the gray smoke turning into a blue sky with puffy clouds...lame.

Tuesday is going to kick ass. This involves a show. There's no school the day after, so I guess they decided to put the school battle of the bands on a Tuesday. But both of the hardcore bands got rejected. So this kid we all know is having them play in his backyard that night on a free show. Best part is, he has a sound permit so they can't get shut down either. Oh man. If there's going to be shows in NK over the summer(even if it is just bands of people I go to school with playing at someone's house), that will kick ass.
By the way, it said hardcore on the flyer, but they're probably thinking hardcore as in "New England Metal and Hardcore Festival".
Why else will Tuesday kick ass? -New Red Chord comes out -Team America on DVD -Seinfeld season 4 on DVD
Fuck yeah!

Holy shit!
The night of the Lightning Bolt show, Mahi Mahi and Grshn Lifestyle are playing an early show in South Kingstown! Three awesome bands in the same night! Even if it's split between two venues, that's FUCKING AWESOME!!!
