This is what the dude who set it up said to buddy:
"yeah, it's not gonna happen...we might have had a shot with red rum but feed us fetus posted the show was going on there before Gregg from TNC could even ask, so the people from red rum werent too happy about it "

It seems that a lot of our shows are set up that way... someone will come up to one of us and say "hey, I heard you're playing blah blah" and we're like "...we are? ok!" haha... it's cool like that. That was some good news after hearing the other show got cancelled. Since our last demo (the 17 track one) we've basically doubled our song count... i can't wait to freakin' play....
EDIT: Total topic count for the forums right now is 666... hah

Wow, I just found out Guttermouth is playing a little coffee house in my redneck town. Tickets are kind of expensive, but still, a fun band to see live. And I don't have to drive far.

Third Death opening for Municipal Waste? I already knew about that show happening, but fuck, now it sounds even better.
As another note, one of my friends had something in his away message on AIM saying he went to Gloomfest in Albany this weekend. That's pretty cool.

anyway, yeah friday: betrayal/contempt for humanity/toxic holocaust/avskum at the green room. th killed it. i had heard from a HUGE fan that they were "disappointing" live, but they delivered the goods friday. crowd was rowdy and knew all the words. head banging mania. avskum was loud, tight, and ferocious. the green room sucks, but the sound is really good there.
saturday we drove to albany for gloomfest. toxic played again and stole the show. straight to hell played their last show. aaron grabbed his coat and hat while still singing the last song and walked off before the amps' distortion even had a chance to die down. lame way to go out but whatever. i left early (8pm) before most of the bands i wanted to see (fucked up, career suicide, etc) played but i was seriously crashed. still a fun time overall, got to see lots of out of town friends and messageboard pals. ran into a million providence people there unexpectedly, so bizarre.

Maybe I missed something, but why are StH calling it a day? Any other projects in the works? That disco they released rocks my world...unfortunate they will not be adding onto it any time soon.

they actually just finished recording their final 12" (probably only ep length though). i've heard the rough mix and it sounds good. aaron is "quitting hardcore" or something. guy hates "the scene" etc. very dramatic dude. i doubt he'll be doing anything musical anytime soon. bri will still be drumming for dropdead (bassplayer will be back from japan in july i think), i don't know about the other guys.

nah, the way he says it it's just the opposite. still loves the music, but doesn't want to deal with "hardcore kids" or fashion heads or whatever. great dude, but more than a bit of a drama queen at times.

Oddly enough, I've been in the mood for Straight to Hell lately. I really like that chorus on track 4 of the We Will Bury You stuff...I was talking to my friend who went to Gloomfest and he said there were some bad bands, but the good bands made up for them. He thought Toxic Holocaust was cool. I heard the Shins played...what the fuck's up with that?

Holy shit! The night of the Lightning Bolt show, Mahi Mahi and Grshn Lifestyle are playing an early show in South Kingstown! Three awesome bands in the same night! Even if it's split between two venues, that's FUCKING AWESOME!!! Lamp, where exactly is "Gilroy's basement"? We may be playing this show as well, if they need/want another band to play.
