Speaking of shows, unfortunately there hasn't been much happening here. The Asskickers and the Fatals are playing in the little bar here the weekend after next. Deranged country colliding with Cramps style weirdness. Should be fun.

that could be cool... i saw the cramps about 10 years ago but frankly they were kind of tired. i like their records and shit but you could tell they were doing the same act for like 15 years at that point...
there hasn't been shit i've wanted to see around her lately, and likely won't be till march, but march is shaping up to be pretty amazing: riistetyt/straight to hell, selfish/hellshock, seein red/bury the living, etc

February 28th at the AS220:
Hogg/Hircine/Deminvenom/Destroy The Sun/one more I forgot
Hircine is one of two bands I went to high school with(the other being United Against). They all graduated last year, but I saw two of the guys walking around putting up flyers. I have a demo of them in my CD wallet...it's alright. I'm definetely check them out.
Speaking of United Against, their singer's in my math class. He was talking to me a lot today about shows he'd been to and how he was going to see Strike Anywhere up in Boston tonight. He's a nice kid but...well, he's pretty dumb.

Yeah, I heard about that. But you know, it's at the Safari Lounge. So that overrules that.

yeah it's a bar. but there's like 2 bartenders and no one "working" the door since there's no cover. stay away from the actual bar and you probably wouldn't get noticed in the crowd.
or just stand outside. it'll probably be warm enough taht the doors will be open. the "stage" is only like 20 ft from the street.

As far as that Locust tour goes, they're playing in Boston the night after, and Fantomas is playing the same show, so one of my friends is going to drag me up to Boston to see it. I like Fantomas, but I like Daughters more, you know?
But an 18+ show 9 days after my 18th birthday should be cool...

Boston is awesome if you don't have to drive.

I went to the Call tonight and saw Shred The Past's last show with their current drummer. It was cool. There was also another band called August Spies there which were cool...I think the three songs they played combined for a total time of about two minutes.

Hey Scoots, I took your advice and checked out the pics on Return to the Pit. First off, the AS220 looked absolutely packed. I also noticed you were in a lot of these pictures. Ah the rocking. I wish this show hadn't been on a Wednesday night...otherwise I would have tried to go. But what the hell's up with this picture? Edit again: There we go!

everybody's hugging! i like to be up front so i end up in a lot of pics usually. the bald head is like a fucking beacon in the night too. i actually moved to the sidelines about halfway thru riistetyt cause i was taking a beating in there. neoprophets were surprisingly really good i thought. i'd never heard them before and was pleasantly surprised. ann even got up on stage with them at one point. straight to hell played a great set. aaron didn't do much talking which is unusual. last show (minus gloomfest) is a bummer, cause they are one of my fave RI bands ever. contempt for humanity i think actually have some decent songs but they just bore the shit out of me live. the demo is pretty good though, surprisingly. i dunno, i can't get into them live though. riistetyt were great. not the tightest or most precise shit ever, but from teh standpoint of having 3 dozen foreign crusties pounding my body in the pit, they got the job done. i had a fucking blast. also, this pic is sick: www.returntothepit.com/media.php?id=154319&date=march162005&pic=riistetyt018.jpg

neoprophets were surprisingly really good i thought. i'd never heard them before and was pleasantly surprised. ann even got up on stage with them at one point. I actually saw these guys back in December when they headlined some show that this band from my school was playing in(United Against). They were pretty good, I remember. They covered Disrupt. Also, no more Straight to Hell? What happened?
